Biography
Giovanni Nisato, PhD, PMP, is a Basel-based innovation consultant and Managing Director of Innovation Horizons GmbH.
He works at the intersection of collaborative innovation, life-science data strategy, FAIR implementation, semantic interoperability, knowledge infrastructure, printed and organic electronics, and technology maturation.
Giovanni is active as a consultant and project manager for Pistoia Alliance initiatives, including the Pharma General Ontology and FAIR-for-Pharma activities. He has also contributed to the FAIR Maturity Matrix, FAIR business-value framing, and expert-community facilitation in life sciences.
His earlier career includes senior roles at CSEM and Philips Research, with work spanning polymer optoelectronics, flexible displays, printed electronics, healthcare devices, organic photovoltaics, photonic biosensors, and European collaborative R&D projects. He has contributed to OE-A activities, printed-electronics roadmapping, and IEC TC 119 standardization.
Giovanni holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Strasbourg and is a certified Project Management Professional. He also serves as Affiliate Professor at Grenoble Ecole de Management and as expert for Innosuisse and the European Commission.
